The Kennel Club of Pakistan, originally an affiliate of The Kennel Club of England, has made vast progress since the active revival in 1980. Today, it is the only internationally recognized Kennel Club registered in Pakistan, having become a member of the Asian Kennel Union (AKU), rejoined the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) and having a reciprocal arrangement with the American Kennel Club (AKC).
In 26 years, hundereds of dog shows have been successfully held throughout the country. Judges from all over the world, including Pakistan, have judged in several Pakistani cities. Pakistani judges have also had the honour of judging internationally as well.
